Hi, I’m Fauna

I help people feel better in their bodies. Less tension, more ease, a little more breath and softness.
I believe the body is brilliant, and that healing happens when we listen closely.

I’m a massage therapist, bodyworker, and someone who’s endlessly curious about the relationship between the nervous system, the earth, and our capacity to feel at home in ourselves. My sessions blend deep, gentle bodywork with a nervous-system-informed approach, one that invites you to fully land.

"Healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken—it’s about remembering what’s whole."

My Approach

I work slowly and intuitively, using grounded, effective techniques to support injury recovery, ease chronic pain, and help folks reconnect with themselves. Whether you're working through burnout, trauma, or just need to exhale, I’ve got you.

Every session is a space for your body to be heard and held. Free from shame, urgency, or expectation. And yes, I’ll totally skip your feet if they’re feeling self-conscious.

I specialize in nervous system support, injury care, and creating inclusive, trauma-informed sessions.
I welcome and affirm LGBTQIA+ folks, people of color, neurodivergent people, fat bodies, and survivors. This is your space too.

My Story

I was given and claimed the name Fauna as part of a coming-of-age journey, honoring my connection to the natural world and the wild, nurturing parts of myself.

In my early 20s, I lived on small regenerative farms in Oregon’s Willamette and Upper Rogue valleys. Learning to live with the land and unlearn the rush of city life. I traded weeding beds of kale for a humble place to sleep, and found practices like yoga, qigong, and nonviolent communication through the people I met. I also found nervous system peace I didn’t know I needed.

“The Earth heals us when we get quiet enough to listen.”

Turning Point: Standing Rock

In 2016, I felt called to support the NoDAPL movement at Standing Rock. I drove from Tacoma to North Dakota and spent a month volunteering in the camp kitchen, sitting in ceremony, and learning from Indigenous elders and allies around the sacred fire.

This time cracked my heart open—shifting how I understood justice, land, water, and healing. It sparked a lifelong commitment to showing up for movements like:

“All water is sacred. All bodies are sacred. We protect what we love.”

A Few More Chapters

After that, I worked at Breitenbush Hot Springs until the 2020 fires rerouted our lives. My partner Fergus and I eventually rooted in Salem, Oregon. I opened my private practice in 2023 and have felt honored ever since to support people’s healing.. body, mind, and spirit.

When I’m not in session, you’ll find me:

  • Swimming in a river or hot spring

  • Tending to my garden barefoot

  • Making something with herbs, yarn, or my hands

  • Talking about healing, grief, and revolution over tea

My Values

Embodiment — Your body is not a problem to solve. It’s wise, worthy, and full of messages.
Liberation — Healing is political. I align with movements that fight for justice, equity, and land/water/body sovereignty.
Slowness — Rest is sacred. Slowing down is a form of resistance in a world that tells us to keep pushing.
Belonging — Queer, trans, Black and Brown, fat, disabled, neurodivergent, and all kinds of bodies are welcome here.
